We are excited to share with you the success of the Etnia Barcelona Foundation action in Miami from last Friday. The event was held at the University of Miami in collaboration with Von’s Vision foundation to host a vision clinic for students in need during Super Bowl LIV weekend.
Over 120 students from local organizations and the university were given eye testing and screenings by 5 local optometrists who volunteered including one of our diamond accounts, Jade Optical. Once the students went through the different stations of testing, those with visual impairments proceeded to the frame selection area where about 80 Etnia Barcelona frames were distributed along with branded goodie bags.
Not only did the kids enjoy receiving frames, but they also got to enjoy an afternoon filled with football games, activities, food and a visit from NFL player, Von Miller. Von spent some time meeting and taking photos with the kids and doctors, sharing his story of visual troubles and helping the students select frames they felt their best in. At the end, the Etnia team made Von an honorary member of the Etnia Barcelona family by presenting him with a custom Barce soccer jersey and of course a pair of sunglasses, which he enjoyed!
This initiative was also the first-time team members from the Miami office were able to volunteer and be a part of the EB foundation. We are excited to continue this project in the USA and look forward to the next events scheduled this year. Thank you to everyone who helped contribute!
