Etnia Barcelona Foundation is our destination. We came into the world with the intention of offering an optical collection that inspires people.
Now we want to broaden our challenge and reach all the invisible people in the world. People whose most basic needs are in jeopardy, people with difficulty getting eye care or frames for glasses. It’s not just a question of carrying out specific projects but one of operating with a dynamic that is respectful of the world and responsible with the lives of everyone in it.
OUR OBJECTIVE The Etnia Barcelona Foundation was founded for the purpose of improving the lives of those who lack access to vision care either due to no access to a medical centre or for economic reasons. Our mission is to provide eye care, offering assistance to the most vulnerable families to give them access to better vision, improving their quality of life. Vision problems are an obstacle in school, at work and in social relations, and so we’re focusing on working with other foundations and organisations that have programmes that link these three lines that are fundamental for us: education, health and Social Integration.
We focus our work on underprivileged groups and communities, both children and adults, in Spain and the rest of the world.
